In honor of _Cinco de Mayo_ festivities and because some days I just plain 'ole _need a drink_, this week's featured recipe is for an interesting twist on the classic Sangria. It's a version made with white wine, peaches, grapes, and melon.

For a change the recipe doesn't come from a book or from a website. This week's recipe is from my cousin Dawn. She is the most amazing cook and once while I was visiting she made a wonderful chocolate cake with white frosting. The chocolate cake recipe you can get off the Hershey's Cocoa Can but the frosting tasted like marshmallows. Dawn made it from scratch and said it was a step or two away from how you'd make homemade marshmallows.

I love asparagus and it's on sale this week. I got my new Williams-Sonoma catalogue the other day and they had a recipe for Strata with Asparagus, Sausage, and Fontina that looked wonderful. It serves 12 so I think I'll halve the recipe and perhaps make it for Easter Morning.

This week's recipe is another family favorite. It's from a wonderful site called Italian Food Forever. The woman who runs the site is Deborah Mele and every recipe on here that I've tried has been very good. Her recipe for Chicken Cacciatore is delicious!
