This Week's Featured Recipe - 1

I've decided to post links to recipes I've either tried and loved or would love to try. I've decided to make this a weekly feature at CelticHarpy.

Anyone who has been around my kitchen in the past two years will know that I am thoroughly captivated by FoodTV's Tyler Florence. He has two regular shows on FoodTV — Food 911 and Tyler's Ultimate. Both shows feature amazing recipes, presented in an easy to follow manner, that are enhanced by the charm of Florence. He is an excellent host and makes even the most difficult recipe seem easy. In March of this year, he released his first cook book Tyler Florence's Real Kitchen. It sold out its first printing within one month and was well into it's second printing while he was still on his book tour. I highly recommend this cookbook. I promise, not all of the recipes in this weekly feature will be by Tyler Florence, but expect him to be featured frequently.

This week's recipe is Florence's Croissant French Toast with Soft Caramel Apples. This is a delightfully yummy dish and is great for a special breakfast or brunch. It's an elegant take on French Toast and very easy to make.

As a variation, I have skipped the apple portion, sliced several bananas and lightly browned them in butter with some maple syrup till they are soft. I use the banana variation when I don't have time to peel and core the apples the recipe calls for.

Mangia bene!
