Speaking of Steves...
as in Steve Austin, the 6 Million Dollar Man —
Keith was able to load all the applications that I had on CDs but many of the things I had on my PC were downloaded. So this week I have been going out and downloading new versions and reinstalling.
One of the programs I had was mIRC. I used to chat online alot but rarely use it anymore. Still, I did use it from time to time so I went ahead and reinstalled it. Since it was fresh in my mind, I decided to make sure it worked and logged on. Ran across Steve, an old friend of mine in NYC, who I haven't seen in close to 2 years. It was nice to catch up and hear that things were going well for him. I enjoyed our chat and promised to not be such a stranger again.
After I logged off, it occured to me that I met Steve on AOL when I first got online and that was 10 years ago. I am truly blessed with good friends, even online.
