The Oscars
Was anybody else bored? No real outlandish dresses — although what were Uma Thurman and Sandra Bullock thinking? How do you get to be that beautiful and look so idiotic?
This year's award show could have been much shorter if they'd just lined up all the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King categories and said, “Right! Here you go!” I'm not saying they weren't deserved, it's just that it wasn't all that interesting to watch from a spectator's persepective.
No surprise winners, no awful gowns, hell even Johnny Depp was clean-shaven and looking fabulous. Where were the Lara Flynn-Boyle tutus, the Bjork swan dresses, at least some funny acceptance speeches like when Julia Roberts called Henry Mancini, “Mr. Stickman.”
Yawn I wonder every year why I bother when the Golden Globes are much more fun.
