Inter v Brescia
Growing up in the 60's in Chicago, going to all the Chicago Cubs games with my grandfather, taught me one important lesson in this world — how to keep supporting and loving a losing team. Little did I know 5–6 years ago when I became a fan of Inter-Milan, that I would have cause to revisit that lesson.
When I became an Inter supporter in 1998, they were coming off an UEFA Cup win and were consistently one of the top teams in Italy's Serie A. Now the only thing you can say that is consistent about them — is their LACK of consistency. Supporting them has certainly been a rollercoaster ride for their fans!
Another loss today to Brescia (3–1), what else is new? We've had more coaches in the past 5 years than there have been years. We've bought and sold players — superstars and all — and nothing changes. This season we had great hopes for the Scudetto, we were in the Champion's League, but now all that's left is a hope in the UEFA Cup — and we know how hope and Inter have been going together of late.
Ah, well — another day, another Euro, another season…
I still love ya! FORZA INTER!
